The Compliment that people gave me(week 9)

Nely

People always tell me that I'm really good in singing. That is the compliment that I always get. But to be honest, I think I'm not really good in it because actually I only know few songs and I don't really keep track on the latest song. I admit it I do enjoy singing, whenever I had a free time I usually practice to sing. I love classic songs and I don't really know nowadays song. I know it's kind of outdated but the reason I choose the oldies song is because the lyrics are so meaningful compare to this era song. The music is the sound of the soul. So enjoy the right one!

Ahmad Afandi

A compliment is an expression of praise, commendation or admiration. It is a positive feedback. Everyone would like a compliment from time to time. I on the other hand do receive compliment sometimes. The most unforgetfull compliment I get is someone calling me smart. I feel that as a great compliment because I don’t feel so smart. I’ve always failed in some of the things I do most of the time. So somebody saying I’m smart really lifts my spirit. I have received this compliment many times. Once after I got my upsr where I got all As. My mother always use this compliment when I feel down on my life. She always try to assure me that I am always smart even though I don’t feel like it.

Another compliment I get is that I look handsome. This compliment has been given to me by some of the people I know, especially the ones really close to me I appreciate all the compliments that are given to me.

HANA
I believe that everyone deserves a compliment because it helps build self-esteem. It helps when I am are not feeling well in any way, sick or depressed. Giving a compliment is also a nice thing to do.
One day I was at the store with my family. My little brothers, who are always giving out compliments, but it can get pretty annoying sometimes. So after a while my mom got mad about them doing it all the time. She told them, “Maybe it isn’t such a good idea for you guys to be giving compliments all the time.”
Then she paused as she thought about it and said, “Well, actually maybe it is a good idea that you guys give out compliments because some people need compliments.”
That’s when I realized that it is true, some people do need compliments. Some people may too have to work and support their families by themselves and are exhausted from work and those little compliments like “I trust you” or “I like your name” helps people be more self-confident and helps them able to make it through the day.
Any feelings like depression or anger can also be cured with compliments. I know because when I am angry, gloomy, or even not self confident in myself, when someone gives me a compliment, I feel cheerful, motivated, and self-confident. Compliments will brighten up my day.

REY

The compliment that always get from people is they say that i am good at drawing. For me, i am not very good at drawing, because i only can draw scenery and natural things. My family always ask me to draw something that they captured from their phone, such as sunsets at beach, trees and much more. I love drawing, drawing is my passion. I will never stop drawing until the end of my life. That is the most meaningful thing in my life.

Yasmine

I seldom recieve compliments from people. But when i do, usually its things to do with how good i bake. I love to bake. Baking makes me very happy. Not only i love desserts but making them is what i enjoy most. A few years ago, for mothers day, i baked vanilla cupcakes with fresh strawberry buttercream frosting on the top. My mother loved it. I made so much, we had to give it to our neighbours. I recieved a lot of compliments on them and started getting orders from people. I baked cakes, cupcakes, muffins, pies, crumbles and cookies eversince. Another compliment i always get is how tall i am. Im 5'8. Its a pretty normal height but maybe not here in Malaysia. I love being tall and getting compliments about my height. It makes me feel different and unique.

My First Date/Crush (Week 8)

YASMINE

I have had plenty of first dates. Some were good and some where just bad. Bad that I don't want to see the guy ever again. But I do have two dates that I can't ever forget. They're the two highlight first dates of my life so far. One was when i was 14. Valentines was approaching soon and this one boy in my class called Dwayne asked me if I could be his Valentines. I was shocked because he used to make fun of me because I was the only asian in that highschool. But I said yes and agreed to be his valentines. For valentines, we went to a valentines fair close by. His mum sent him and my mu sent me to the fair. I was so nervous because it was my first date ever. He was shorter than me too. We went on a few rides and we had food. Overall, it was a great day. But we never dated again haha.

My other best first date that I've had was with my current boyfriend right now. Our date was one to remember. It was romantic and very simple yet unforgettable. He picked me up in front of my house. I remember feeling so nervous because I really like this guy. My mum helped me pick an outfit and I remember him getting out of his car looking so handsome and asking my mum for permission to take me out on a date that day and that I am in safe hands. So he drove me into town and we walked so much, had noodles and sat down and had coffee. Just talking and having a great conversation. I was surprised that I could maintain a conversation with him. It went on extremely fluently. We laughed so much. We then got to his car and realized that his car was clamped because he parked at a reserved parking spot. So we had to walk to the office and waited for 30 mins for someone to get the clamp off. It was a funny experience. He also dropped his ring that his dad had gave him but we couldn't find it. After, he drove me to a rooftop. It was already night time. I cant believe the day went by so fast knowing that I've had so much fun. I didn't want it to end. On the rooftop, we stood at the end and I remember it being really windy, my hair was blowing everywhere but i didn't have a hair tie. He slowly pushed my hair at the back of my ear and he said that he has never met anyone like me who he can actually have a conversation with and we could talk about the same things and it doesn't get boring. I loved that day. It was a great day. There's too many details to the story but overall I loved it. I'm surprised he would want to date me. Malay guys usually run away from me. I don't know why. He is the first malay guy that I have ever dated or just been on a date with. Technically, he is half malay and half chinese but it still counts haha. Until today, he makes all our dates a surprise to look forward to.

Ahmad Afandi

When i was a small boy, i dreamt about my first date. I imagend it to be a beautiful one like the ones you see in movies like confessing our love to each other or just a simple walk in the park. First dates is ussualy an awkward moment for anyone. When i was 22 i was looking around in the internet and social medias to make new friends. Suddenly i found a woman that i found fancy. I tried talking to her but i didnt know what to say fast for ward a few months she asked to meet each other In KL. Well i was in KL the day she wanted to meet so i did just that.  I thought i was prepared enough by watching romantic movies. Boy was i wrong. The first time i acttualy met her, we didsnt talk with each other this still happened even thought we always talked through social media. After the awkward moment we ordered lunch. During lunch is when we talked abit the conversation starter was about favorite foods. After lunch every thing went from awkward to  a bit normal . that was the story of my first date. We continued dating for nearly 2 years after that . i will never forget my first date ever.

HANA

To be honest, I am not a good on my first date because I am quite nervous when I meet a  guy for the first time. Nothing interesting with my experiences just last year is my worst moment when that guy and I going out to eat together and he talk about his boring topic like his previous school, his siblings and his ex girlfriends then I felt annoying because for me that kind of topics maybe not suitable for our first date. The next day I do a research on how to create a good impression on first date.

#1)Talk To A Woman Like It’s A Date, Not A Job Interview
Men who focus on behaving politely to a fault on a first date are MUCH more likely to come across as stiff…anxious…or worst of all, totally BORING. These guys act like they’re out on a job interview or something. The fact is, most women come away from successful first dates saying things like, “He was so funny…there was this amazing chemistry between us…I really feel something for him.”
That’s why it’s critical that a man “heat up” the usual, polite first meetings and conversations by nurturing interest, enticement and excitement in a woman. The easiest way to do that is to speak to her as if you want to have fun — as if she’s a FRIEND instead of a potential employer.
After the first “hello” moments of the date, feel free to take the usual conversation topics (careers, movies, whatever) and redirect the conversation in a way that creates FUN instead of TENSION and STIFFNESS. If she’s wearing something interesting, tease her gently about it. Ask her to hold the door for YOU. Tell her you’re tired of talking about your job…you’d rather talk about an ultra-cool experience you just had. Or (even better), one that SHE’S had.
Oh…and if she gives you a compliment, take it as an opportunity to challenge her in small ways that set you apart from that usual, nervous first date guy. Make a joke like, “Look, I’m not like other guys. Compliments won’t get you anywhere.”
In other words, treat her like a friend (and not like you’re trying to “win her over” and impress her) and you’ll see amazing results.Instead, ask questions that signal you’re aware and interesting.
#2) Stop Asking Those Lethal “Attraction Killing” Questions
Once a woman you’ve just met starts to think of you in a particular way, she’s likely to keep thinking of you in that way. This is why I recommend that men avoid the impulse to ask those standard “first date” questions at all costs…most of which are guaranteed ATTRACTION KILLERS.
Whether it’s because he’s nervous, insecure, or just hasn’t planned ahead, I can’t tell you how many men tell me that they ask questions like, “So…how do you think it’s going?” Even worse: “Do you think we’re a good match?” Worst of all: “So, do you like me?”
These types of questions reek of desperation…and desperation is the biggest ATTRACTION KILLER, bar none.
#3) Use The Right Body Language
When you meet a woman for the first time, I just can’t say it enough…you MUST pay attention to your body language.  After all, it starts “speaking” to a woman before you ever say a word. This means making sure to maintain eye contact (but don’t forget to blink…there’s no easier way to come across as a little bit scary).
Sit upright. If she ever draws back away from you, never “chase” her by leaning in. Instead, make sure that you draw back, too. When you speak, use a low, slow voice tone. If you rush your words, you’re more likely to stammer. During conversation, look around the room a little to break the tension.
All of this gets you off to a great start — and just might keep you from losing the game before it even starts
So act like a friend instead of a stiff…avoid asking those “lethal” questions…use the right body language…and getting a great SECOND date is all but assured.
I think all above can be practice for the next guy who want to date with me. Hihi :)

NELY

Love is something that we cannot avoid. Something that is so special, the feelings, the moment are so unforgettable. As a human being,we'll always need love even if we go trough a lot of heartbreak, but we still enjoy loving. So my first date was in 2009. Back when I was in standard 5 though. Haha, it is kind of funny but this is my first puppy love story. The guy's name is Muhammad Shafuan Bin Zuki. He was born on 4th April 1997.We start our relationship on 4th November 2009. He called me with a  sweet nickname on 8th November 2009. Have you ever wonder how I can remember all of this? Well, actually I wrote everything in my diary and I still keep it until now so whenever I read it,I laugh and realized how funny I am back then. Shafuan is a tall guy and known as the athletes in the school. I fell in love with him because of his softness towards me. He is a soft guy, calm and plus he is good looking too.We started by texting each other on the phone then we both fall in love. But that thing only last for two months. I don't feel really sad because both of us weren't t serious at that time. It is just a puppy love. So we don't have to feel heartbroken at all.

My first date

My first date is when i was 18. That was the first time i've dated someone for 2 years. The person that i've dated is also my age and also taking STPM at another school. I know the person through Whatsapp, one of my friend invited me into the group Whatsapp. That was the first time i've chated the person and the person seems like she dosen't likes me on the first chat. But then when the person get to know me, the person started chat me privately. After 2 weeks chatting we planed to met up at Lake Valley and the first met was the best met ever. Like everyone says 'first impression is the best impression'. So then, the person and i reached there at the same time. Then we both lunch together and we talked a lot at the first meet like we already known each other for a long time. After that meet we chat everyday and the next week we meet again and again and again until one day we didn't realize that were both are in love. We often hang out together, study together. Every weekend we will  have any outdoor activity together like loitering at the river, swimming, jogging, hiking and go for a roadtrip with our friends. But after 2 years i found out that she have another person and i stared to keep distance with the person. I waited for a month until the person honest with me and one fine day the person reveal the truth. That was the last day i meet the person and i left away. That was my first date and its my sweet short memory. ❤️

Ghost(s) that i wish to meet (week 6)

HANA
For the rest of my life, I have never meet a ghosts in real. I like to do the paranormal activity since I was in standard 6. Last year, my friends and I watched movie and the tittle is Highland Tower and the next day we decided to do the paranormal activity in one haunted house at Gombak. We record everything in the haunted house but I felt a little bit dissapointed on that time because we got nothing. After I go back home, I playback the video and I saw like a little girl wearing a white dress at the tree. That was my only experience with a ghost. In my leisure time I like to watch ghost on youtube. My favourite channel is "Hantu 7E Terengganu" and "Momok JPA Road'. Actually I am not a brave girl but I want to meet that kind of ghost and also a ghosts in the movie like Annabelle, Pee Mak, Valak and others. I just want to know the history of a ghost because before they died usually there are many tragic histories behind their deaths.

Ahmad Afandi

Ghost are said to be the soul of a dead person that has not rest in peace. They are said to be trapped in the land of the living roaming about the world and scaring people. I would like to meet a ghost one day just to see how it is. But the one i want to meet is not really a ghost but a monsters.zombies are the number 1 i want to meet. Zombies to me are cool in theire own special way. Just hearing the word zombies give me chills. Zombies are people who died but theire body still moves. I am influenced to meet zombies because i have been seeing them on movies and video games. The most famous influence has to be Resident evil franchise. When i meet a zombie i would like to have a gun ready by my side so i can be like in the movies. I would also like to study them to know what makes them move even tho they are known not to have a soul. But i better wear good protection as they might also kill me. Zombies can eat through your flesh in a matter of seconds. Theire favorite part of the human body is the brains. They will crack into your skull it your brains all while you are  still alive. All in all i think zombies are great to meet and have fun with.

The ghost that I wish to meet? Oh, my goodness, that is such a scary topic. Well, actually in Islam, the ghost is called Shaytan. The differences between we and shaytan is we made up of a clay, but they made up with a fire. For this topic, I think I I would like to meet "orang bunian". Google research say that orang bunian is a supernatural being in Malay folklore, invisible to most humans except those with spiritual sight. While the term is often translated as "elves", it literally translates to "hidden people" or "whistling people". The reason why I want to meet them and ask them about their existence. What do they eat? or where do they lives since all of the humans take over this whole world? It makes me feel curious all the time. Some said that they are living in the forest. But I don't know whether its true or not.But what I know is,they're nature too. So I think, of all the ghost that I would like to meet is "orang bunian".

Yasmine

I wish to not meet or encounter any ghosts ever in my life. Although I have experienced some ghostly incidents throughout my life. I don't like talking about it or talking about ghosts in general because I'm not a strong spirited person when it comes to these matters. Although, I do want to meet one ghost which is called The Black Lady. When I was younger, my mother would always scare me with tales of The Black Lady is I don't listen to her. The Black Lady is a ghost which haunts the woods near the village of Bradley, Limcolnshire, England. People described her as being young, pretty, tall and dressed in a flowing black cloak and black hood that hides her hair but reveals her pale, tear-soaked face. According to the legend, she has never harmed anyone. It is said that the black lady is a ghost of a nun. The ghost of The black Lady appeared because one day, as she was leaving her cottage in the middle of the woods, she was set upon by three hobilars who brutally raped her before snatching her baby boy and riding off laughing into the woods. She was heartbroken and humiliated, she wandered the woods searching for her child and husband. After her death, people began to see her wandering the woods, still looking for her child. It is rumoured that if someone ventures into the woods on Christmas eve and shouts "Black Lady, Black Lady, I've stolen your baby!" three times, The Black Lady will appear to take back her baby.

Speed dating (week 7)

Ahmad Afandi

Speed dating is an organized way of matchmaking where by it focuses on meeting many people in a short period of time. Each “date” ussualy last three to nine minutes depnding on organiser. People who join speed dating meet face to face with each other and talk about anything they want on the short date. In my opinionn speed dating is a great way to meet new people even though its not for love intrest. Speed dating makes finding a partner less of a hassle then trying to meet people online. Another beneefit that i find is that you can see the nonverbal clues from your date so you know if the date is going well or not . face to face also can make you see if you really connect with your date. In a speed dating enviroment you can stay focus to the person you are talking to.i too wish i could join speed dating one day.

Rey

Speed dating is a fun, friendly and the easiest way to meet new person and its a method of meeting potential partners in which each participants has only a few minutes to talk to each other before being moved on to the next one. At the end of the event, participants decide which dates they would like to see again. Most of us have only seen speed dating in movies and TV shows, where it's portrayed as possibly the most godawful exprience on the planet. The benefits of speed dating is, if you're a busy professional and it's hard to go out for an active dating life, you can get to enjoy your quick conversation with attractive potential matches that you like.

Nely

  1. "An organized social activity in which people seeking romantic relationships have a series of short conversations with potential partners in order to determine whether there is mutual interest."
Do you guys know what this all about? This is the definition of speed dating or known as "Super fast date". I've never been in speed dating before so I don't have any experience about this. But what I know is, speed dating has been a culture in a love story. It is something like a single party. Single people meet the other single people and get to know each other.Speed Dating is ideal for those who leads a busy life and don't have time to meet people. Sometimes these people get to know each other personally or it can be from their friends when groups of friends and work colleagues sit together and they matchmaking you with another person, or you just can take his or her number and personally text them and get to know each other with a deeper conversation. But there is pro and cons here, the good thing is you can save time looking for a "lover" but the bad thing is you don't know who they really are, their background, their family, and so on, so it can lead to many consequences. I think it is better for us to know each other formally so we can avoid unexpected consequences. And the last thing is "Love is not a simple thing that you can play with". So be careful and be merry!

Hana

Speed dating is something that has permeated American culture so deeply that even those who aren't looking for a life-long partner know what it is. It is meeting many people in a short amount of time in hopes of finding date. That may sound like a desperate way to find a date, but it is more effective than we think. Speed dating is easier on people because there is no drama included. Unlike online dating, you have five minutes to talk with a person before you decide to go on a date. That means five minutes to have a one on one conversation. Though five minutes is not enough time to get to know a person, you will know enough about them to see if you want to go on date with them. No more meeting someone who is nothing like their online profile. Instead, you can approach a date with more confidence because you have already met the person.

YASMINE

Speed dating is when you have a date where there's different people sitting on different tables. Every few seconds when you are told to switch, you switch tables. So you get to know more than one person in one night and see who you might like. It is quite interesting because you don't really get to choose who you are going to go on a date with or who you're going to get to know. It's different compared to a traditional date. On a traditional date, you know who you're going on a date with. So that ticks off the appearance attraction. How ever with speed dating, you have to get to know the person regardless of how they look. I see it as an effective way of dating because you might like the person for his or her personality over the looks rather than not liking the person for the looks having to not meet or having a conversation with the person.
